Special Olympics

Hi folks,

I am trying out our new family blog with a post about the Special Olympics. The boys competed in the qualifiers for the state competition this past Saturday. This was Jason's first time competing and I think this small start was good for him. We won't be attending the state level competition this year, but we will next year, and we'll be sure to send an invite out to all of you so you can come and cheer them on.

Jason raced first. He pushed really hard and won a silver medal.

Sam raced after Jason and won a gold medal.

Well, there is nothing like a little friendly competition between brothers to encourage putting your all into something. Jason's second race found him swimming with all of his might and he, too, won a gold. Sam's second race earned him another gold.

We are looking into our next Special Olympics endeavor, Olympic bowling, woo hoooo!!! I'll keep you all updated.

:o) Christine
